Accessibility at V’s Beauty Lounge

What’s included

• A skip-to-content link, semantic page landmarks, descriptive headings and visible keyboard focus.
• A mobile navigation button with a clear expanded state; Escape closes the menu, and choosing a section moves keyboard focus to its heading.
• Videos do not start automatically. The decorative hero video has a Play/Pause button, and the salon clips have native controls.
• The page respects reduced-motion settings by stopping decorative motion and disabling reveal/scroll animations.
• Salon photographs include text alternatives, and the stylist names are presented as a list.

Review and testing

On October 7, 2026, an automated axe-core 4.14.0 scan in Chromium 154 found zero detected violations on the home page at 1440×980, 390×844, and 320×800 with reduced motion enabled. The scan covered axe’s WCAG 2.0 A/AA, WCAG 2.1 A/AA and WCAG 2.2 AA rule tags.

The review also checked that all three videos start paused, the mobile menu opens and closes by keyboard, focus returns to the menu button on Escape, the skip link focuses the main content, and section navigation moves focus to its heading. The videos contain no audio tracks; axe nevertheless flags its video-caption rule for human review, which is documented in the included accessibility report.
